You’re Eating… But Are You Fueling Your Body?
By Chris Ware, RDN, LDN
Most people eat on autopilot—skipping breakfast, grabbing quick snacks between tasks, and finishing the day with overeating. That kind of reactive eating leads to low energy, poor focus, afternoon crashes, and skipped workouts.
At IM | Health, we help you shift from surviving the day to fueling it.
Our registered dietitian works with your daily routine, activity level, and health goals to create a personalized fueling strategy that fits your real life. It’s not about following rigid rules—it’s about aligning your food choices with how you want to feel and perform.
Start fueling smarter with these 4 steps:
1. Choose real fuel
Build meals around protein, fiber, and colorful produce. Eggs, Greek yogurt, beans, nuts, berries, and whole grains give your body what it actually needs.
2. Prep to win
Spend 10 minutes after dinner packing leftovers, washing fruit, or portioning snacks. That simple prep makes the next day’s decisions easier and healthier.
3. Stay ahead of the crash
Go no more than 4–5 hours without eating. Keep a balanced snack—like almonds and a banana or a protein bar—within reach to avoid energy dips.
4. Rethink portion size
Healthy foods still count. It’s easy to overdo it on nuts, oils, breads, or even “better-for-you” snacks. Slow down, serve reasonable amounts, and use smaller plates or containers when possible.
If you’re ready to feel more focused, energetic, and in control of how you fuel your day, IM | Health is here to help. We offer nutritional counseling with our registered dietitian, Chris Ware. Learn more here.
