Our state-of-the-art Performance Center is a fully equipped fitness facility, designed for personal training. The Trainer is responsible for engaging with clients of all ages and abilities to help them meet their fitness and performance goals. The trainer is also a key driver of membership growth while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere for clients and patients.

Position Description

The Trainer is a health, exercise, and wellness professional responsible for helping clients achieve their goals for physical fitness. Duties include planning and supervising workout regimens, coaching clients on their form during exercise and tracking fitness and performance goals over time. The Trainer is responsible for maintaining a book of clients which can be their own previous clients and new clients brought in by IM | Health. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Is passionate about working with adult populations of all ages and abilities. Experience with older populations (55+) preferred.

Takes a creative and enthusiastic approach to developing group classes and individual training sessions, meeting clients where they are to safely achieve their fitness goals.

Evaluates individuals’ abilities, needs, and physical conditions to develop safe and suitable training programs and meet any special needs (injuries, orthopedic considerations)

Works closely with the physical medicine team to develop appropriate training modalities for post-rehab, aging, and novice training populations. 

Collaborates with Wellness Program Coordinator to grow and develop patient fitness programs.

Maintains records of class attendance and develops strategies for growing fitness memberships and programs

Serves as a positive and encouraging role model for clients and Performance Center guests.

Point of contact for all Performance Center and fitness programs, addressing customer concerns and establishing relationships with all members.

Trains and mentors oncoming trainers in best practices for training and motivating IM | Health patients and clients.

Demonstrates knowledge and usage of social media such as Instagram and Facebook

Job Type 

Part-time with the opportunity to become full time based on client growth


  • 1-year experience as a Personal Trainer
  • Must have group training experience (or show us you can be great at it).
  • Experience working in post-rehab or medical settings is a plus.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related field.


  • Nationally accredited current fitness certification – certifications: NSA, ACE, ACSM, PTA Global, NASM, AFAA
  • Must hold and maintain a current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Group training certificate preferred
